Absolute 10/10!! AMAZING service, AMAZING food, AMAZING vibes!! I think everyone should come and enjoy too!! I didn’t take a picture of the food before, but I got one after we devoured everything.
I had such an amazing experience today at a Puerto Rican restaurant in my neighborhood with my cousin. From the moment we walked in, the owners were incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel at home. They even took the time to share their story and how they got started, which made the experience even more special. The food was absolutely phenomenal and so authentic. I ordered arroz con gandules with pasteles, potato salad, and tostones—and every single bite brought me right back to Puerto Rico. I just came back from a trip there, and I can honestly say the flavors were spot on. You can truly taste the love and tradition in the food. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for real, authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. We will definitely be back!
Family and I came to get breakfast after getting picked up at the airport. It was the best decision to have come eaten here. We got the Konoz breakfast sandwhich and Konoz loaded omelet with home fries. The flavors worked so well together in the sandwhich and the home fries were beautifully seasoned and delicious! Got to meet the owner and learned they’ve just opened this place 2 weeks ago! I hope they continue to have success, as great authentic Puerto Rican food is hard to come by and this place was as authentic as you can get! Very lovely staff and the food was well priced. The owner, Alex, has great humor and personality that gives his restaurant a welcoming cozy atmosphere. It’s almost like you’re family when you stop to eat here. Can’t wait to return for dinner!
We came to Newark for a concert and wanted to have dinner when we arrived. We walked into Konoz to order food to go! Alex and Silvia were so welcoming and we felt at home that we ended up eating in. Gracias a Dios that we did. Not only was the food phenomenal our experience with the owners were amazing. We will definitely be coming back. I would literally come for a day trip to visit Konoz, have a good time while eating some amazing food.
A true taste of Puerto Rico in the Ironbound. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere made us feel like we were back on the island. The owners were incredibly welcoming and made the whole experience even more special. The food was 10/10 in both taste and presentation. They were also accommodating with a food allergy, which we really appreciated. We left so happy and can’t wait to come back!
Amazingly great food feels like I’m in Puerto Rico!! The atmosphere just gives you that feeling and the owners are amazing host!!
We found ourselves in Newark and we were craving Latino food. Let me tell you, this place is legit. It’s like you’re at your Puerto Rican aunt’s house. They are so welcoming and hospitable. But most of all the food is delicious and authentic. Alex, the owner and chef personally introduced himself to us. Such a nice guy. I will definitely return if I’m ever in this neck of the woods.
Really really good food, nice staff, cool spot
Very clean establishment with the nicest owners and staff! The food was delicious and the portions are huge! We will be making this our pregame stop before events at Prudential because I wasn't the slightest bit hungry for hours after eating at Konoz, and that saved me a ton of money at the concession stands 😄

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My new favorite restaurant!! After eating here, my family doesn’t even want me to cook anymore 🥹 That’s how GOOD it is! Hands down the most authentic Spanish food we’ve had in a long time. Alex treated us like family from the moment we walked in. The food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The appetizers tasted just like my grandma’s—especially the alcapurrias! They were so good I ordered extra to go. The fish fritters were perfectly crispy and delicious. The portions were HUGE! We loved the roast pork and the shrimp mofongo. My steak and onions were served in the cutest little caldero, and the maduros were sweet and cooked to perfection. And the flan… out of this world! Do yourself a favor and get a happy passion fruit or mango drink—you’ll be smiling the whole time. And the coquito? The BEST I’ve ever had! My new go-to spot. Highly, highly recommend! ✨
The food was amazing!! My family and I ate here for my mom’s birthday and loved every minute. With great salsa music playing, and the both the owner and workers being very nice! If you’re looking for authentic Puerto Rican food I would come here! We will definitely love to come back.
I can’t say enough good things about Konoz Puerto Rican Cuisine in Newark! I reached out last minute to cater a small party for the Bad Bunny concert streaming, and the owner went above and beyond. He personally walked me through all of my choices, suggested the perfect portions for the size of my group, and made sure everything was delivered right on time. The food was outstanding and everyone at the party was raving about how good it all tasted! The Churrumba Platter was the perfect starter and set the tone for our Puerto Rican theme. The arroz con gandules and pernil were packed with authentic flavor, just like home-cooked food made with love. What really impressed me was that the owner even called to check in afterward to make sure we were happy with everything, such a thoughtful touch. Konoz absolutely made our night a success, and I can’t wait to visit in person to try even more of their delicious dishes. Highly recommend for anyone looking for genuine Puerto Rican cuisine and top-notch service!
Best place we ate our entire trip. I wanted to try mofongo and this place was right by our AirBnB so we checked it out. The shrimp and mofongo dish I had absolutely blew me away, great service by the woman working there, and parking was easier to find than most places in Newark.
Latin food done right
